Red CANARY is a video and web production studio located in glorious San Luis Obispo California. We are known for our funny name, producing great work for our clients, and our lovable dog Soda-Pop.
Red CANARY was founded in the fall of 1997 when Todd Peterson and Noah Stokes started making movies together and editing them in their tiny apartment, next to Gus’ Deli on Osos Street in San Luis Obispo, CA. On the door to their studio hung a painting of a red bird. Todd and Noah both agreed that the bird was probably a canary. Thus the Red CANARY studio was born.
10 years later that red bird is still hanging on the door to the studio, but
the studio is a little more professional and a little more work gets done.
The same spirit is alive in the studio though, a warm, friendly, creative atmosphere
awaits anyone who visits. Snuggling sessions with Soda-Pop (the studio labrador) are constant.
